The Braintree Baseball Club is looking for more coaches to fill their staff. We have growing programs that are requiring more coaches, i.e. Fall Ball coaches both head and assistant coaches, and AAU coaches both head and assistant coaches. We are looking for coaches that are familiar with the sport and have had previous experience coaching. We need coaches that are energetic and enthusiastic about baseball. This is a part-time position and the hours are primarily in the evening and on weekends, we do need someone that can be flexible. Our coaches will continue to uphold our programs philosophies and the mission of the Braintree Baseball Club. The coaches will establish goals with our athletes and teams and work throughout the season with the player to accomplish these goals.

The head coaches do have more responsibilities than the assistant coaches and the responsibilities will vary between positions.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

Coaches are responsible to put a practice plan/schedule together on a weekly basis and will work with the owner of the Braintree Baseball Club.
Typically coaches are responsible for putting teams together. Teams should be as equal and balanced as possible, but in this case teams will be formed since tryouts are currently being held.
Coaches must report any scheduling or roster concerns to the owner of the Braintree Baseball Club.
Coaches will be responsible to be familiar with and follow the philosophy, policy and rules of the Program. Coaches must maintain a positive relationship with players and co-workers.
Coaches are hired with the understanding that you will be available for the entire season. If you need to be gone you must notify the owner of the BBC as far in advance as possible so an adequate substitute can be found.
Coaches will be required to attend all scheduled meetings and workshops to prepare for the season as well as any scheduled during the season to monitor the program (Ex. training/orientation workshops, first aid/CPR/AED, coach meeting, mandatory weekly coaches meeting.)
Coaches will work with the Teamsnap platform to communicate to families in regards to schedules for practices and games. Coaches will need to use the neaau to update schedules and report scores.
Communicate on a regular basis with the owner of the BBC to keep them posted regarding the status of you and your team.

Qualifications
Must have knowledge of the fundamentals, rules, and skills of baseball.
Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to participants, parents and co-workers.
Position will require extensive contact with youth and minors.
Need to be available for the season. Hours will vary.
Prior coaching experience in baseball if not high level high school and college experience would be ideal
