November 2022 Athlete of the Month

Andy Thibeault

A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote all his energy and talent to getting there.
-Walt Disney

There is no hiding what Andy Thibeault wants in life. He wants to be the best. If he is not at the club, I think he is sleeping. I am not sure how he has all the energy. He is at the club at least four to five times a week. If it is not for practice, he is at strength and conditioning, doing a lesson with Coach John Richardi or in a fielding or hitting class with Coach Onix Mercado. At only 8 years old, Andy has not only shown a great talent for the game, but also a passion and energy that is unparalleled. Congrats to Andy Thibeault, our November Athlete of the Month.

Last year Andy began working at the club. He tried out for the Bandits and made the 9 year old team. In the fall, we moved him up to the 9 and 10 year old group, and he excelled. Andy so far has done everything asked of him with a smile on his face and more energy than most. Coach Onix Mercado, who works with Andy in his Friday night power hitting class says, “Andy is a determined and hard working teammate and a very respectful kid. He shows up every day with a good attitude and a smile. I could not ask for a better person to enter my class.” John Richardi, who does lessons with Andy, reiterated “I will show up to the club sometimes and Andy is already there playing catch in the parking lot with his dad or he is already in the cage sneaking in some extra swings. Andy is always smiling and energetic, I love to work with someone who has his passion.” As Andy’s AAU coach this upcoming year, I am very excited to work with him and I have full confidence he will have a successful season in the spring.

Thank you Andy for all your hard work!
